Some Pictures from the semester

end of the semester

this semester has come to an end as well as the art and technology class. i had a great time in the class and experiencing all the different work that came with the class. i learned a lot as well as accomplished a lot. our talking bird house Tree of Life seem is to be a good idea that my group and i would like to finish so hopefully over the winter break that can be done. From just circuit bending the first project to creating a whole new structure ourselves has been a great journey and the class was awesome!

Trees

The second project that is assigned in class is something that is designed to contribute to social change. my group (kelly, pat and josh) are working to create talking trees. To initiate a personal connection to trees. We will be using the arduino to create these trees that will relay information about the specific tree that the device is in and also interesting facts about trees how they are an important part of our earth and how we can help with immense deforestation that is happening on a global scale. due to financial issues we can only have one tree for the project, but we are compiling information to work towards a grant to do this project on a much larger scale. our idea right now to to place several devices among the rail trail so that as you go on you casual stroll down the trail you will also gain an education of the local trees and how to support help lives as well as how they help ours.
